This large deck girder bridge crosses the Rock River south of Watertown.
It consists of four spans, set onto stone substructures. It is fairly simply composed, and likely replaced an older truss.
The bridge is located near Jefferson Road. It was built in 1903 by American Bridge Company.
Fortunately, this scenic bridge appears to be in reasonably good condition. It only serves a limited number of trains per day, and very likely could eventually end up as a trail bridge.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
